Christian Valentinussen (1903-1985) a listed Danish artist went to Teknisk Skole (Technical School) as well as Academic Colarossi in Paris in 1927. He mainly painted motifs of the life of fishermen at the West Coast and north of Jutland, but he also did portraits of among others Danish countesses and writers.

He was a member of the group of painters "Nordjydske malere" (Painters from North Jutland). He made study journeys to Paris, Stockholm and Italy and exhibited in Aarhus and Goteborg.
