Lauritz Sorensen (1882-1968) is a listed Danish marine painter who was born on April 17, 1882 in Aalborg, Denmark. He was educated as a journeyman painter but was dedicated to the sea, studying it whenever possible. Thus he is known as a very skilled seascape painter, his works done in a very precise manner and highly in demand.

A painting by Sorensen was sold at Palais Dorotheum in Vienna on June 16, 2003 for $2,614.00.
