The
Rose E. Schneider Commemorative Mural was conceived by Harold
J. Schneider to honor the family values, life achievements,
and civic contributions of Rose E. Schneider and their impact
on the development and growth of the Cranberry community.
The mural is prominently located in the lobby of the Rose E.
Schneider Family YMCA as a constant reminder of the mission
of the YMCA and an inspiration to those who use the facility.
Eclectic Art & Objects Gallery managed the mural project from
its inception including; design, artist selection, and final
execution which took nearly a year to complete. The three panel
composition measures eight feet by fifteen feet and required
the skills and experience of two world class craftsman to achieve
the life sized portraits and dimensional realism of this artistic
masterpiece.
James Sulkowski, a renowned portrait artist, painted the portraits
and surrounding environments while California artist Anthony
Trasport handled the marble borders, dimensional lettering and
other Trump L'Oeil details.
